American Communications Network
Telecommunications services are provided to customers in Europe as
well as North American customers in Canada and the U.S. by American
communications Network (ACN). Customers are served in six countries by
ACN including Germany, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, England and the
Netherlands.
The deregulated services of American Communications Network (ACN)
include internet access, electrical power, natural gas, long
distance and bundled local and long distance telephone. The current
gross usage of $700 million annually is a rapid rise from ACN's launch
in 1993.
The marketing strategy of ACN is based on providing services through
the individuals serving as Independent Associates. These Associates
who are given the opportunity to build an independent business are
the reason for the rapid growth of ACN. The Associates begin their
own businesses and then contract with ACN to provide telecom services
to their customers as well as handle the financial matters and
accounting. Some Associates market services with their own business
name while others choose to identify themselves as ACN Associates.
ACN directly bills customers for their ACN services and a relationship
between the Associate and the customer is maintained after signup in
order to provide personalized service. A fully staffed Customer
Service Department, provided by ACN deals with all technical requests
about services, desired changes and customer questions.
A cooperative marketing company founded in January 1993, ACN is firmly
established and is a privatley held corporation with the U.S. operations
based in Troy Michigan and the Canadian operations are in Misissauga,
Ontario, Canada. Helping customers save money on telecommuncation
