Your Call To Action
(Telling the reader exactly why and how to buy)
Getting your reader to take action is probably the easiest part of the three parts. Because at this point, you've already got them to the end of your presentation. And the mere fact that they made it to the end of your presentation tells you that they like what you've had to say up to this point. So now it's super easy to get your reader to take that last step which is to click on your website address link at the bottom of your sales letter. But you must tell them to do that. Don't just put your website address down there and assume they'll click on it. You must actually say "Click HERE to see for yourself at www.yourwebsite.com
Or if you'd like even better results, provide them with an 800 number to call for more info too. Or even give them a long distance, toll number in certain cases where you think it will work out better to make the reader pay for the call.
For instance, in one of my businesses, I had an 800 number that was causing far too many people to call me that weren't serious and it wasted my time. So I switched that number to a long distance toll number to cut down on the number of non-serious calls. I figure if you won't pay 12 cents a minute or 7 cents a minute to get more info about my opportunity, then you'll never pay the sign up fee to buy the opportunity. So in that case I use my long distance toll number to filter out most of the people that I don't want to talk to in the first place. I only want serious people to call me.
But in other business, I have set up an 800 number as just a pre-recorded voice mail so the people reading my ad can call in for more details. This works great for most businesses because the 800 number is set up to only play my outgoing voice mail message. So I don't have to worry about people wasting my time because the voice mail automatically takes their call and gives them the information so I don't have to.
And there is a big secret that will double your profits when you create your ads. By simply adding the words "For complete details call to hear our 24 hour recorded message."
I know what you're thinking. "Why would you want to tell people that they'll be calling an answering machine? Don't people want to talk to a real live person?"
The answer is absolutely NOT! People are very intimidated when it comes to calling sales offices. People are afraid they will get some pushy sales person that won't take "NO" for an answer. So when you tell them in your ads that they can just relax and listen to a pre-recorded message for complete details, twice as many people will call. As long as they feel sure that a pushy salesman isn't going to answer, they'll call.
So always include some combination of those magic words. "For complete details, call toll free to hear my recorded message"
Since in some cases it costs up to $10 per word in a national classified ad, you may want to shorten that way down and just say "Recorded Message" at the end of your ad. That will get the point across while cutting down on the cost of your ad.
The two words "Recorded Message" will double your income if you plan to use an 800 number in your classified ads. And I do recommend this method above only giving your readers a website address.
Also, if you need a high quality, low cost 800 number go to the members only area where I list the best sources of all kinds of small business resources like this.
Always be sure to add a P.S. to the end of your websites and your sales letters. The reason for this is because often times people are in a hurry and don't want to take the time to read your whole sales letter or website. So readers tend to skim around magazines, websites, emails, etc. just looking at 2 things to decide if the material is worth reading. Those two things are the headline and the P.S. at the very bottom. Your readers know that a P.S. usually sums up the whole offer and get right to the point with no B.S.
Also at the end of your "Call To Action" is where you are going to want to list your limited time offer, your bonus, and your guarantee. These are the three items that are going to make your reader more likely to take action. What ever you do, just don't forget a good call to action!
