Dale Carnegie

Dale Carnegie, author of "How to win friends and influence people" is one of the best known of the self help book authors. The information is still relevant today, as it's about developing interpersonal skills which relate directly into business success for many people. There's also many different places offering Dale Carnegie courses which expand on the basic theme of the book.

Dale Carnegie said that fifteen percent of your earning potential comes from knowledge and direct skills, the other eighty five percent comes from interpersonal and leadership skills. With most college courses concentrating on the traditional topics of business, the Dale Carnegie book can provide important information on dealing with people. For anyone in sales or management, or in a profession that requires a lot of public speaking this can be very valuable. The reason that Dale Carnegie's courses have stood the test of time is that people skills haven't changed over the years, nor has their importance.

Dale Carnegie and his courses and books like "How to win friends and influence people" are still as valid today as they were when he wrote them. Starting with the book, and then deciding for yourself if ordering one of the courses or attending one of their workshops later would be a good way to start for anyone looking to improve their people skills.

I would recommend anyone with a management team to give the book "How to win friends and influence people" to their managers as required reading. I've met many managers straight out of college with their MBA and all they know is how to study, they haven't a clue how to relate to people since they don't teach that like they do in "How to win friends and influence people". With all the importance stressed today on computer and other skills, many companies, business, and sales people completely overlook training on their personal skills. The Dale Carnegie books and courses are a solid investment for anyone in the business world.

Since I review business opportunities and internet gurus all day for a living, you can guess I know which ones work and which ones don't. Click here to see how I make my money.
