Ernie Kessler

At one time, Ernie Kessler was the single biggest buyer of foreclosures in the Washington DC Baltimore area. Kessler reputedly earned millions of dollars from his real estate boot camps, seminars, workshops and home study courses. Ernie Kessler died of a heart attack at his home in 2008.

Ernie was a big foreclosures guru in the 1980s. The Washington Post used to call him "The King of Foreclosures", and he often appeared on CNBC's "Smart Money". He also ran a real estate club and hosted the Washington Post's foreclosure conference.

Ernie Kessler's courses are still available. They include "Advanced Secretes of Mortgage Profits" and "Making Money with Mortgages", both go for around six hundred bucks. Ernie produced several how-to courses on foreclosures such as "12 Foolproof Secrets of Foreclosure Profits" and "Goldmining With Foreclosures", which both sell for just under three hundred bucks.

Kessler, created a video where he teaches "How to speak and sell from the front of the room".

I've most heard good things about the content of Ernie Kessler's courses and his helpful attitude towards investors. But when it comes to using his advice in the future, you have to bear in mind that Ernie was big in foreclosures back in the 1980s, when there wasn't so much competition. Now, everyone's chasing foreclosures. What might have worked for Ernie Kessler in his heyday is currently much more difficult. I personally think there's far too much competition right now in the foreclosure end of real estate investing.

Since I review business opportunities and internet gurus all day for a living, you can guess I know which ones work and which ones don't. Click here to see how I make my money.
