Richards was also a professor of real estate at the College of Alameda in California, and wrote several books and home study courses.
Richards published a lot of good information on note investment during his lifetime, and was the President of NoteWorthy Investments, Inc.
Jon Richards' publications are still available for sale. They include "How To Start a Discounted Note Business", "The Truth About the Note Business", and "Sell Your Property Fast". His courses include "Real-Estate 101: Income Property Investing", "99 Good Ideas For Finding Notes" and "Calculator Power"
Richards was a very good business man who was honest with investors and
didn't
take advantage of them. He didn't get mixed up with the slick, get rich quick gurus who give the business a bad name. But before you buy his courses, bear in mind that note investment is a complex business, and not a great place for a beginner to start off. Jon Richards himself never said this was an easy business.
