Lotto International

There are some International lotteries, from which people from many countries, typically Europe, can enter. I couldn't find any of the traditional, legitimate international lotteries doing business on the Internet however. This is mainly because lotteries don't accept credit cards for tickets, as credit card fraud would be sky high. When people think about International lotteries, they're usually associated with spam emails telling them they have already won a big jackpot in an international lottery that they never even entered. Yes, it's better than magic.

Their goal is to get your personal information and also get you to send them an up front fee to cover taxes, customs, wire transfers, and so on. You'll not only be a victim of identity theft in the coming weeks, but you'll be out any money you send them as well. This is similar to the Nigerian 419 scam, promises of millions in exchange for a few thousand dollars in up front costs, money you'll never see again. Just remember Lotto International or anyone else isn't going to mass mail you millions of dollars for a contest you never entered. These types of scams play on peoples greed an naivete. I would avoid every international lottery or any email with the name lotto international on it.
