Napoleon Hill

Napoleon Hill who passed away in 1970 is one of the pioneers of self help books about why people succeed or fail in their financial or personal lives. He interviewed over 500 millionaires and his book "Think and grow rich" was 20 years in the making and sold over seven million copies, something almost unheard of in the self help book field.

After browsing some Napoleon Hill web sites and quotes from "Think and grow rich" I found many of the quotes vague and referring to the "6th sense" quite often. The Napoleon Hill sells a $1,000 course without any description at all as to what it includes. If you read their "success scrolls" it includes more quite vague things like "don't be a ship at sea without a course" and so on. Also there's advice "To be enthusiastic, act enthusiastically!".

Sorry Charlie but from what I could read on their site and the reviews and bio of Napoleon Hill this just isn't providing me with information or inspiration that's going to help today. Maybe his book "Think and grow rich" has good information, but I'm not inspired to buy it based on the quotes and "scrolls" on their web site. When it comes to business courses, books, or training material I think they missed out on the important point that you have to give people a reason to buy something. I've gotten more information from a horoscope than from the Napoleon Hill promotional web sites. Be your own judge and see for yourself.
