How to get the best marketing list using the SRDS
by Jason Ryan Isaksen
There's only one list broker that I'd recommend. And
that's the S.R.D.S. Technically they're not even a list broker and
that's why they're so good to deal with. You can check it out online at
http://www.srds.com
SRDS is a more expensive way to find good targeted
lists, but the response is excellent.
The SRDS will be most important for those of you who
will be selling products or services to an extra small niche group of
people. Like for example, if you wanted to sell supplies to people that
do carpet cleaning for a living, you could find a list of pure carpet
cleaners in there. The SRDS would also most likely contain the names of
magazines or newsletters that were just for carpet cleaners.
Imagine if you were selling a product or service that
was extremely handy, useful, or necessary to carpet cleaners and you
had a mailing list that was 100% carpet cleaners. Or if you had a
little trade magazine that was 100% carpet cleaners. You can bet that
every guy that cleans carpets in the country probably reads that
magazine. The best thing of all is the fact that when you place an ad
in a little magazine like this, only carpet cleaners will see your ad.
This means you're not wasting your advertising dollars on people that
would have no interest in your product or service.
But carpet cleaners are just one example that came off
the top of my head. Anything and everything you can think of is listed
inside the SRDS. Literally every subject and topic is covered in there.
Of course, you'll find lists of opportunity seekers, and home business
seekers listed in the SRDS as well. Plus it will tell you the name of
every business magazine and trade magazine in the world.
You can even read the SRDS at the library for free. The
main SRDS you want to ask for is the SRDS Mailing List edition. There
are over 10 different SRDS manuals, but you'll mostly just be
interested in the one that contains mailing lists.
