Prepaid legal services can be a valuable tool for people and small business owners. It usually includes the basic services like letters, wills, and other commonly needed services for a set monthly fee. They also offer discounted expanded services if you need a lawyer for something like a court case. Compared to going to a lawyer to send a scary and official cease and desist letter to someone for example, it can be a real bargain to use the services of pre paid legal.

Most prepaid legal places charge about $30 a month or so, which is great if you need basic services as retaining a law firm to do anything is going to cost at least $300 or so just to give you the time of day.

But no matter who you choose for a pre paid legal plan, it's best to call them and find out which firm would be handling your account. For the price, and the price of contacting a lawyer whenever you have a question, prepaid legal is a great value for people who need to keep up with things like wills, contracts, or even tax audits.
