As far as their Marketing Plan goes, I've been told you
always have to have product on hand for your clients. Meaning, you have
to have a-dozen or so
cans or boxes of product in-store. In short, you need to Stock-Pile the
product. Their products are expensive to buy, even at wholesale prices.
Reliv International is a five year old company, listed
on the American Stock Exchange, with 1993 sales of more than $65
million. Reliv was listed in January 1994 by International Business
Magazine as the #3 fastest growing international company, with 2-year
sales growth of 1,368%. Reliv researches, develops and manufactures
nutritional food products. The company is based near St. Louis,
Missouri and is currently doing business in the U.S., Canada,
Australia, New Zealand and Mexico.
Reliv Classic, the original product, is a patented,
powdered nutritional supplement that contains 72 vitamins, minerals,
herbs and proteins. Users
mix it with their favorite drink and
consume it twice a day.
Other products include a line of meal replacement
supplements (for weight loss or gain) that contain the full nutrition
of the original supplement, a patented isotonic sports drink designed
to replace the nutrients lost during exercise, a fiber supplement that
also contains large amounts of antioxidants as well as herbs and
digestive enzymes, and snack bars containing the full nutrition in the
original product. All of the products taste great and are convenient to
use.
Distributors initially earn a retail profit of 25%, but
can qualify for better profit margins based on retail group volume in a
single month. Once a particular level is reached, the distributor does
not ever drop back to a lower level, regardless of subsequent sales
volume. There are no personal maintenance requirements or minimums.
Distributors also earn wholesale profits of 5%-20% from
other distributors in their downline who have not yet reached the top
discount level. In addition, distributors receive 5% of the total group
retail volume of 1st generation downline distributors who have achieved
the top discount level, 4% of 2nd generation, 4% of 3rd generation, 3%
of 4th generation, and 2% of 5th generation.
