Robert Irwin
Robert Irwin has written many real estate books, including "How to Buy a Home When You Can't Afford It", "How to Get Started in Real Estate Investing", "How to Find Real Estate Bargains", "How to Invest in Real Estate With Little or No Money Down", and "Buy, Rent and Sell: How to Profit by Investing in Residential Real Estate".
Irwin's real estate investment books are liked by a lot of people because of his light writing style and the fact that he keeps things simple. However, that's also their downside. For instance, "Buy, Rent and Sell" was a little too simple. "This is a good book to start with, but don't expect to become an expert from it."
Irwin has been a real estate broker for over 25 years and acts a consultant to lenders, investors, and brokers. He's a columnist for the Wall Street Journal's "Real Estate Journal", and runs online real estate seminars.
Robert Irwin's books are aimed more at the regular homeowner than the real estate investor. Such as these two: "Tips & Traps When Building Your Home", and "Improve the Value of Your Home up to $100,000: 50 Sure-Fire Techniques and Strategies"
