World Profit

World Profit which is located at www.worldprofit.com is a web design firm which also offers webcasting for their clients. The templates they offer look clean and professional, but at $89.95 a month their hosting package (which to be fair, does include other services but nothing I couldn't live without) is well beyond the $8 a month you can get at most places for hosting. The webcasting portion of it is useful since they claim you don't need to install a client program for others to participate, but most web cams come with this kind of software free anyway.

World Profit also features a referral program, but I can't find more than a couple of referral links posted on the Usenet news groups about it, and those are just ads on marketing newsgroups by someone who signed up for it. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of information or reviews of World Profit to go on. I don't care much for referral programs as I've gotten burned by others in the past with them. I prefer to sell products directly so I know when I've made a sale. To their credit, World Profit does list an address and phone number which is almost a rarity these days.

In summary, if you need a full service web design place and don't mind the very high monthly fee compared to regular hosting, then World Profit may be for you. However I'd just as well have a site made and pay a one time fee then feel free to shop around for budget hosting which is very inexpensive these days. Streaming video is good for some things, but it's also a bandwidth hog for many and anyone on dialup is going to probably pass on trying to see what movie you put up.
